Short description: Stuart Tonemah was a leader in two educational advocacy movements—American Indian education and gifted education. Across four decades, he influenced national conversations and educational policy on students from indigenous and tribal communities. His contributions to the Red Earth perspective on developing talents among First Nations students are foundational for our field and for building equitable gifted education services today.
