Short description: Helping gifted children thrive is more than just packing their brains with knowledge! This interactive workshop presents games created to explore Twice-Exceptional students’ intersectionality of strengths and challenges, nurtures self-awareness, and explores the potential of building a positive self-identity. The games also explore implicit biases and embrace learning and communication diversities to build self-advocacy and social success.
Learning Outcomes: Participants will:
Understand the intersectionality between terms indicating implicit bias and a child's framing of their learning identity
Explore an application plan for their professional setting (school-wide, specific population, or individual learners)
