Short description: We admire entrepreneurs for their creativity, vision, resilience, and mindset. Inventiveness, innovation, and calculated risk-taking can be taught by focusing individual traits of openness and cognition on problem solving. This presentation outlines a lifelong-learning model for fostering divergent, inventive thinking by guiding participants through creating a product, process, or business. Participants share their ideas and learn criteria-based critiquing of the inventive stages.

Discuss the empirical research on individual interests, abilities, and personality traits thought to influence inventiveness and entrepreneurial thinking
Learn guidelines for an entrepreneurship curriculum for primary and secondary gifted learners designed to develop special interests and abilities
Gain practical tips for creating and growing an entrepreneurship program in or out of school
