Dr. Falchi earned his MD and board certification in Medical Oncology Cum Laude at the University of Perugia, Italy. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center, medicine residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital, and Hematology/Oncology fellowship at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. With board certifications in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology, he is currently an Assistant Attending in the Lymphoma Service at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College.
Dr. Falchi’s areas of interest include non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) and Hodgkin lymphoma, with a research focus on immunotherapy for the treatment of patients with B-cell NHL in clinical trials and translational studies. He is the lead investigator in multiple national and global immunotherapy trials for patients with B-cell NHL, and has published over 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals, including Journal of Clinical Oncology and The Lancet Oncology, numerous abstracts, and several book chapters. His work has received extensive coverage by The New York Times Magazine, Thomson Reuters, and numerous other press agencies.
Dr. Falchi is Co-Editor-in-Chief of Oncoimmunology, an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Oncology, a member of the Editorial Board for Blood Advances, and a reviewer for high-profile journals such as Blood and JAMA Oncology. He received the 2022–2025 Lymphoma Research Foundation Career Development Award and 2022 Steven A. Greenberg Lymphoma Research Award, serves on committees of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer, and is an active member of multiple scientific societies.
