Knowledge and experiences that students gain from K-12 have a tremendous impact on their attitudes and interests in various subjects beyond high school. Knowledge and appreciation of entomology start at different ages for different people for many reasons. Kindergarten is a key stage of development for students, where there is an opportunity for their development of a positive life-long interest and appreciation of entomology. Otherwise, their interest could be negative. Adults develop educational activities for kindergarten students, but have they ever ask the kids what they think? A survey was done to get entomological viewpoints from diverse 6th graders. This includes 6th graders from different schools, from schools in different regions, from schools in rural and urban settings, and from private and public schools. We present and discuss results from the survey.
