Agricultural ecosystems require management, but it does not end at harvest. Worldwide, significant food losses occur as food moves through the manufacturing system from the farm gate to the table. The stressors increase as you get further from the production system and the losses multiply due to the value inputs that have already occurred. This presentation will present an overview of the stressors associated with post-harvest storage management and all the constraints of this complicated system.
