Abstract: A restrospective research conducted by Zilal S et.al on 12 adoptive mothers in 2013, there are 7 motivating factors influence them to breastfeed their adopted infants that are mahram relationship, maternal instinct, psychology, nutrition, technology, offspring & obligation. The goal of induced lactation in muslim families is to attain mahram relationship between adopted baby and adoptive parents. In order to achieve the goal, there are many factors that influence the success. Co-author conducted a longitudinal prospective case based research and has elaborated in depth on the factors that influence adoptive mothers to succeed in induced lactation program. The factors divided in 5 categories were manner, insight & motivation, support system, guidance & advices, knowledge on induced lactation & time management. Author also did a survey on 21 mothers and the result showed that about 57% (n=12) of them succeesfully attain mahram & 92 % of them were very motivated & comply to the protocol of induced lactation. Therefore, its is very important for the adoptive parents to have proper consultation from the beginning & insertion of all the forementioned influence factors during counselling.
The conclusion from this presentation mainly to emphasize on very good counselling skills among lactation counsellors / consultants to ensure successful induced lactation process determined by achieving mahram relationship.

Diversity and Inclusion: This presentation mainly is to share the author & co-author experiences, skills and researches in induced lactation programme among Muslim families in Malaysia. There are many aspects and elements in counselling session to ensure adoptive mothers will keep motivated & adhere to the protocol of induced lactation that have been developed earlier (standard practice among lactation activist). The strongest motivational factor is attaining mahram relationship as the determination of success. However, co-author had performed a prospective research to obtain the influence factors for successful induced lactation and these have been eloborated in depth. Lactation counsellors & consultant should be able to instill these successful factors in adoptive parents' mind and their heart, during counselling session.
