Jeff Kraft is a 34-year veteran of the fire service and has served for over 23 years on the Chicago Fire Department. He has worked as a Firefighter on Engine 95 and currently serves as a Lieutenant on the south side of the city on Truck 42. For over thirty years, he served on the Calumet Park Fire Department working through the ranks of Cadet, Firefighter, Engineer, Lieutenant, Training Coordinator, Assistant Chief and Fire Chief.
Jeff has instructed for the Illinois Fire Service Institute since 2013 and has taught in the RIT, Engine Company and Truck Company Operations, Company Officer, Structural Collapse, Cornerstone Programs and State Fire Academy. He serves as a subject matter expert for IFSI curriculum development projects and teaches for the Fire College and Winter Fire School events. Jeff also teaches for the Chicago Fire Department and was on staff with the City Colleges of Chicago teachings Tactics for the Officer Program Instructor. He holds an Associates degree in Fire Science and Emergency Medical Service from Moraine Valley College.
