The presentation will highlight critical lessons learned from Hurricane Ida in August 2021. These lessons will assist public safety agencies of all sizes in regions of the country to better prepare for "large scale" emergencies of varying focus. This session will discuss how local and state resources can integrate into and support regional partners assuring an effective response and seamless response to "large scale" emergencies.
The presentation will provide an overview of what public safety executives and agencies should accomplish prior to as well as immediately after a large scale incident to assure an effective recovery process.
An emphasis will be placed on a wide array of preparedness activities.
