
Each year, the Association of Air Medical Services recognizes excellence and leadership in emergency medical transport through a variety of notable national awards. Now is the perfect time to nominate the perfect candidate to be honored during the AMTC22 Elevated event in Tampa, Florida!

Recognizes an emergency medical transport service that has demonstrated a superior level of patient care, management prowess, high quality leadership through visionary and innovative approaches, customer service, safety consciousness, marketing ingenuity, community service, and a commitment to the medical transport community.
ELIGIBILITY: The service must have been in operation for at least five (5) years in the medical transport community (rotor wing, fixed wing, or critical care ground) and a current voting member of AAMS.
JUDGING CRITERIA:
A. Number of years in operation;
B. How the medical transport service commits to safety;
C. Business model sustainability;
D. Customer-service improvements;
E. Clinical improvements;
F. Fiscal responsibility;
G. Community outreach;
H. And any other award recognition/certifications (CAMTS certification is highly recommended, but not required).
Recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to the overall enhancement, development, leadership or promotion of the emergency medical transport community and has been actively involved or participated in an emergency medical transport organization.
ELIGIBILITY: Medical, aviation, communication, management or support personnel (operators, equipment companies, etc.) who are actively involved in the emergency medical transport community and are a member of AAMS or employed by an AAMS Member.
JUDGING CRITERIA:
A. Impact on or contribution to the industry;
B. Involvement in community organizations including leadership positions;
C. The number of years of membership in community organizations;
D. Encouragement of others to join community organizations;
E. And the encouragement of others to promote the emergency medical transport community.
Recognizes a team that has made an outstanding contribution to a neonatal/pediatric transport service in any of the following areas: enhancing safety, education, leadership, patient advocacy by developing or promoting the improvement of patient care in the medical transport community.
ELIGIBILITY: Personnel, who are involved with the transportation system of neonatal/pediatric patients, and are currently employed by AAMS Member neonatal/pediatric transport program or service. Current AAMS Member who is a neonatal/pediatric medical transport program or service.
JUDGING CRITERIA:
A. Specific improvements of the quality in neonatal/pediatric-specific medical transport
B. The enhancement of safe neonatal/pediatric transport procedures (mitigation of risk for crew members and patients)
C. The development of neonatal/pediatric patient care
D. Encouragement of others or contributions to the community which promote improvements in neonatal/pediatric transport and patient care
E. Enhancement of overall conditions under which proper neonatal/pediatric transport occurs.
Recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to the safe operation of medical transport vehicles or the improvement of safe maintenance procedures of medical transport vehicles.
ELIGIBILTY: Individuals who are directly involved with the maintenance operations of vehicles used by members of AAMS
JUDING CRITERIA:
A. Number of years in the position
B. How the individual has added value to the program/medical transport service, education of the crew
C. What improvements the individual has made
D. How the individual relates to the staff and community, and staff testimonials
E. This individual must have made a direct impact on the safety of a transport vehicle or implemented a safety program or procedure that enhances the welfare of the medical team and patients in transport.
