Dr. Agarwal is an endocrinologist and obesity medicine specialist. She is the Director of the UAB Obesity Medicine Fellowship Program. She is board certified in internal medicine, endocrinology, and obesity medicine. She did her Master of Medicine Education in Health Professions from Johns Hopkins School of Education. She is an Associate Professor in Medicine at the University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB). She is the Parenteral Nutrition Specialist at the Birmingham VA medical center. She is Chair of the AACE Disease State Network for Obesity and Nutrition and Vice-Chair of Education Oversight Committee. She has served on several regional and national committees at the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE), The Obesity Society (TOS), the American Society of Nutrition (ASN), and the American Society of parenteral and enteral nutrition (ASPEN).
