Michael Grund, born on January 5, 1968 in Bad Hersfeld, Germany, has been Head of Business Field LC Windows, SVP since 2019.
Previously he acted as Senior Vice President OLED & Quantum Materials, Performance Materials Division 2017 to 2019. From 2013 to 2017 he led Merck’s Korean Businesses as Managing Director Merck Korea.
Before moving to Korea, he was responsible for Merck’s Chemical Development as Vice President of PM-Advanced Technologies Development from 2008 to 2013 based in Darmstadt. Prior to that he was Vice President Engineering and Maintenance from 2005 to 2008. From 2000 to 2005 he served as Director for Engineering & Technology Development. He began his career at Merck in 1997 in the Central Process Development Unit.
Before joining Merck Michael Grund worked in the ‘Center for Expert-Systems’ in Dortmund from 1994 to 1997, where he received his PhD degree. Michael Grund studied and graduated in Chemical Engineering from 1988 to 1994 in Dortmund.
