Hiroshi Tanabe, Ph.D., is currently the Research Fellow at Tianma Japan, Ltd. He received the B.E. degree and M.E. degree from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, the B.A. degree in Economics from Keio University, Tokyo, and Ph. D degree in engineering from Nara Institute of Science and Technology, Nara, Japan. In 1990, he joined NEC Corporation. Then he has been engaged in the research and development of polycrystalline silicon thin-film transistors for 20 years. In 1998, he was a Visiting Researcher with the California Institute of Technology, CA, USA, where he was involved in the formation of large-grained polycrystalline semiconductor films at low temperature. Since 2011, he has been involved in the development of functional devices and applications at Tianma Japan (former NLT Technologies), Ltd, Kawasaki, Japan.
