Queen's University/Kingston Health Sciences Centre
Dr. Robert (Bob) Connelly MD, MBA, FRCPC is a neonatologist, medical educator, and the Head of Pediatrics at Queen's University. His interests are in resident assessment, particularly the use of rubrics as assessment tools, improving patient safety using a Just Culture framework and leadership education for healthcare providers. He serves on several committees related to specialty education in Pediatrics, including being the Chair of the Specialty Committee for Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
Bob is also interested in design thinking, whether it is to deliver a more compelling presentation or improving patient care. He is a self-described “geek wannabe” and is constantly on the lookout for new mobile technologies to improve productivity. He is an avid consumer of social media (which is really just a polite way of saying he spends too much time on Twitter).
