I am a Research Associate Sr. in the laboratory of Chris Counter at the Department of Pharmacology and Cancer Biology at Duke University. I study how different oncogenic mutations in the Kras proto-oncogene alter the signaling and how cells respond to those signaling cascades during cancer initiation in a tissue-specific manner. I received my PhD from UNC Chapel Hill in the field of Biochemistry under the supervision of Dr. Xian Chen, studying the role of histone demethylase PHF8 in TLR4-dependent macrophage response.
