Dr. Scott R. Beach is an attending psychiatrist on the MGH Psychiatry Consultation and Acute Psychiatric Services, and an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He is a former Program Director for the MGH/McLean Adult Psychiatry Residency. He attended the University of Virginia School of Medicine and completed a residency in Adult Psychiatry at the University of Virginia. He finished a fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Beach has developed clinical and scholarly areas of expertise in QTc prolongation and psychiatric medications, catatonia and related syndromes, neuropsychiatric effects of COVID-19, and deception syndromes. He has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and more than 25 book chapters, and has edited two books.
