The OSForensics Triage Certification (OSFTC) was created for cybercrime investigators who conduct digital evidence triage and digital evidence collection in the field. This condensed version of the full-length course will be fast-paced and consist of three parts: 1) Lecture 2) Lab and 3) Review/Test. This course will prepare students to pass the certification exam which will be administered at the end of the class. Successful students will receive the OSFTC designation and printable certificate at no cost. (Students attending this presentation should have a basic foundation in digital evidence triage and collection concepts). It is highly recommended that attendees bring their laptops or tablets to participate in this interactive presentation so they can follow along online with the instructor. Electrical outlets will not be available so be sure your device is fully charged.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participant will be able to install OSForensics to a laptop and a USB device.
Upon completion, participant will be able to identify and understand the best methods and approaches to live system analysis (triage).
Upon completion, participant will be able to utilize the OSForensics toolkit to effectively process and triage a computer system for evidence of CSAM material
Upon completion, participant will be able to identify key artifactual evidence to create a timeline of all activity on a computer system.
Upon completion, participant will be able to successfully pass the OSForensics Triage Certification (OSFTC) test.
