This workshop will cover the fundamentals for both investigating and prosecuting child homicide cases. Participants will learn about the important investigative steps unique to child homicide cases that should be taken to ensure a just outcome. The presentation will also discuss medical findings that are important to the determination of accident or medical condition versus murder. Participants will also learn practical techniques for understanding medical evidence and potential defenses, and how to succinctly convey that information to a jury.
