Maricopa County Attorney's Office
Kathleen Tyma has served as a Deputy County Attorney with the Maricopa County Attorney's Office, the third largest prosecution agency in the United States, since 2011. She began fighting sex crimes exclusively in 2013, including bringing over thirty cases to jury trial and verdict. She is currently the Assistant Bureau Chief over Sex Crimes West where she focuses on the most complex and egregious crimes against children, sexual assaults, and homicides. Kathleen teaches continuing education courses for law enforcement, prosecutors, paralegals, and victim advocates, and volunteers her time to speak to undergraduate and high school students. She attended Arizona State University where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 2011 and graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies in 2008.
