Discuss the important surgical principles of penile cancer surgery which optimize treatment specific outcomes.
Describe the importance of multimodal therapy to high risk and/or locally advanced penile cancer.
Identify the clinical/pathological features favoring the use of adjuvant therapy following surgical management of such cancers.
Recognize the potential role of radiotherapy in the management of penile cancer.
Recent advances in our understanding of male genital tumors (penile, scrotal and urethral) as well as the concepts of organ approaches, minimally invasive surgical approaches to the inguinal lymph nodes and multidisciplinary care to locally advanced disease will be discussed through clinically pertinent case presentations. Throughout these presentations, we will highlight important clinical considerations and review the rapidly evolving peer reviewed scientific literature supporting such treatment approaches.
