Brian R. Lane, MD, PhD, FACS, is a Strategic Advisor for the Michigan Urological Surgery Improvement Collaborative (MUSIC) for kidney and prostate cancer initiatives, Professor of Surgery at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, urologist at Corewell Health Medical Group West, and Research Director in Urologic Oncology at Corewell Health Cancer Center. He has also served as Chief of Urology and Physician Lead of the Robotic and Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery Program within Corewell Health. He completed the MD/PhD program at University of Michigan and residency in Urology and fellowship in Urologic Oncology at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Lane has served as an AUA Foundation Scholar and member of the AUA Guidelines Committee for Renal Mass and Localized Renal Cancer. He was also a member of the ACGME Review Committee for Urology. He has authored more than 250 peer-reviewed publications in urology and oncology. MUSIC is a physician-led quality improvement collaborative comprised of ~90% of the urologists in Michigan (www.musicurology.com).
