IRCCS "Regina Elena" National Cancer Institute
I graduated with honors on July 28th, 2011 from the "Sapienza" University of Rome, with a thesis on GreenLight Photovaporization of the prostate. I obtained my specialization in urology on July 5th, 2017 from the same University, again with honors, with a thesis on Evolvement of cystectomy care over 11 years period in a high volume tertiary referral center. I then obtained a PhD in Advanced Technologies in Surgery on January 23rd, 2023, with a thesis on the role of robotic cystectomy with ureterocutaneostomy as a new standard of treatment in frail patients with advanced bladder cancer.
In 2017, I completed two fellowships in laparoscopic and robotic surgery, respectively at the Groupe Hospitalier de l'Institut Chatholique de Lille and the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm. In 2024, an additional observership at the University of Illinois at Chicago allowed me to approach single-port robotic surgery.
I currently work as a Urologist at the IRCCS "Regina Elena" National Cancer Institute in Rome, where I am responsible, among other things, for the minimally invasive and reconstructive treatment program for penile tumors and the therapeutic pathway for patients with rare urological tumors.
My H-index is 17 and I have 108 publications indexed in Scopus, 27% of which are as first author.
