Dr. Benjamin Brucker is a leading figure in urology, renowned for his expertise in urinary incontinence and functional urology. He earned an honors degree in Biology from Cornell University before completing his medical training at the University of Pennsylvania, where he also completed his urology residency. Driven by a passion for functional urology, Dr. Brucker pursued a fellowship in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Surgery (URPS) at NYU Langone, that remains as one of the country’s top programs. During his fellowship, he distinguished himself through research on minimally invasive treatments for urinary incontinence, publishing widely and presenting at national and international conferences. In 2022, he received the Zimskind-McGuire Award from SUFU, recognizing his significant contributions to the field.
Following his fellowship, Dr. Brucker joined NYU Langone, where he now serves as the Division Director for Urogynecology and Neurourology in the Departments of Urology and Ob/GYN. He is also Program Director of the URPS Fellowship. Dr. Brucker is an active member of several professional societies, including AUA, SUFU, and ICS, and has held leadership roles, including serving on the AUA Data Committee and founding the SUFU Research Network. He is a sought-after educator, serving as course director and faculty member for numerous AUA educational programs and has contributed to public policy through the AUA Public Policy Counsel.
Dr. Brucker's research, focusing on innovative treatments for incontinence, has earned him numerous accolades and advanced the field of urology. His collaborative work with multidisciplinary teams has led to breakthroughs in the understanding and treatment of complex urological disorders. His legacy in the treatment of urinary incontinence continues to inspire future generations of urologists and urogynecologists.
