Dr. Nima Baradaran is a reconstructive urologist at Urology of Virginia/EVMS.
He completed medical education at Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran. He then spent 3 years at Brady Urological Institution at Johns Hopkins University for a resaech fellowship on bladder exstrophy. He completed urologic residency at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston in 2017 and then pursued GURS fellowship in trauma and male reconstruction at UCSF in 2018 before joining Ohio State University. He developed the only academic gender affirming program in central Ohio and moved to Virginia to join EVMS in 2024.
Dr. Baradaran has published over 80 peer reviewed articles and book chapters on various urologic topics including urologic reconstruction. His clinical expertise include all aspects of urogenital reconstruction, gender affirming surgery, urethral reconstruction, male incontinence and consequences of prostate cancer treatments.
