Senior Associate Consultant
Ram A. Pathak, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Urology at Mayo Clinic Florida. Dr. Pathak specializes in Urologic Oncology and has special interests in the diagnosis and management of prostate cancer. He completed his urology residency at Mayo Clinic Florida and fellowship in minimally-invasive oncology at Wake Forest University. He treats all disorders of the Genitourinary tract, including prostate, bladder and kidney cancers with special focus on nerve-sparing Robotic Prostatectomy, Focal therapy for prostate cancer, and MRI fusion biopsy. He is a pioneering surgeon in the field of Single-port, specifically the Transvesical Radical Prostatectomy, recently winning "best video" at a national meeting.
Dr. Pathak also serves as Vice-Chair of Reserach within the Department of Urology managing a total combined budget of over $5.6 million. He is PI to 5 ongoing clinical trials in the prostate cancer soace. Dr. Pathak has authored more 100 publications, book chapters and medical abstracts. He has given plenary talks on genitourinary malignancy at national and international meetings. He also serves as Residency Advising Director through the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine.
