Abhinav Sidana, MD, MPH is an Associate Professor and Director of Focal Therapy and Clinical Trials in the Section of Urology at the University of Chicago Medicine. He specializes in prostate and kidney cancer, performing both robotic and open surgery for patients diagnosed with urologic cancers. His research is focused on functional prostate imaging and focal treatments for prostate cancer, as well as clinical trials on novel treatments for urologic cancers. Dr. Sidana is also an experienced clinical educator and serves as the course director of Frontiers in Oncologic Prostate Care and Ablative Local (FOCAL) Therapy annual course, which aims to provide both the theoretical and hands-on training to the urologists interested in incorporating focal therapy and newer BPH ablative modalities as the management options for their patients.
