Sarah Kirn (Gulf of Maine Research Institute; Citizen Science Strategist, NASA) has two decades experience designing, building, consulting, and leading scientific research projects that rely on public participation. She supports Marc Kuchner and the NASA Citizen Science Program. Her responsibilities include producing professional learning events for project leaders, editing the program handbook, producing citizen science profiles for the website, and contributing to broad efforts to recruit both scientists and participants to NASA citizen science. Sarah joined GMRI in 2002 after completing her M.Sc. degree in biological oceanography at the University of Maine. Sarah holds a B.Sc. in geology-biology from Brown University.
