Andrew Oliver is a postdoctoral fellow for the USDA-ARS. He's constantly curious about how microbes contribute to our health. Andrew works in the lab of Dr. Danielle Lemay, at the Western Human Nutrition Research Center (WHNRC). A major focus of the lab is to apply machine learning to elucidate the relationship between health, nutrition, and the vast functional potential of the gut microbiome. He received his PhD in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from the University of California, Irvine in 2021. He was awarded an ORISE fellowship to facilitate his postdoctoral work with the USDA.
