I am from the beautiful island of Cyprus! Nutritional science has been my passion since childhood. Growing up around traditional Mediterranean Greek-Cypriot, and seeing the valuable support my dietician offered me from a very young age, led me to study Nutrition and Dietetics in the UK so that I could serve the public through medical nutrition therapies.
I practiced as a clinical dietitian for 2 years but my desire to improve the quality of evidence in the field of nutrition for the prevention of cardiometabolic-related diseases inspired me to advance my research training at a graduate level. I completed a Masters's degree of Science in Nutrition & Metabolism and I am now a 3rd year Ph.D. candidate in Nutrition & Metabolism program at Boston University in the USA. My main research interests lie in the era of nutritional epidemiology, the development of dietary patterns, and chronic disease risk including liver disease, CVD and cancer.
