UPSTREAM USA

Upstream USA is a national nonprofit working to reduce unplanned pregnancy in the US by increasing access to the full range of contraceptive methods. To expand equitable access to birth control, Upstream provides at NO COST CME/CEU-eligible, on-site training and technical assistance to health centers that eliminate barriers to offering the full range of contraceptive methods. We work directly with physicians, obstetrician-gynecologists, nurses, nurse practitioners, midwives, medical assistants and even the front desk and administrative staff to ensure the entire health center team is seamlessly working together to offer excellent, patient-centered care. We meet each health center where they and their patients are, monitoring our interventions as we go. To date, we have worked with more than 100 health centers, private practices, and hospital systems to ensure that comprehensive contraceptive care is a standard component of primary care.
