Martine De Roeck graduated from the University of Antwerp in 1988, and obtained an LL.M from the University of Chicago in 1989. She was a lawyer for 29 years, first at De Bandt Van Hecke Lagae (now Linklaters, as partner as of 1997), and since 2001 at Loyens & Loeff (where she headed the litigation department). She was appointed as judge with the Antwerp Court of Commerce in 2018. She presides over summary proceedings (injunctions and urgent temporary measures) and shareholder litigation.
