Melissa Darby is Corporate Counsel in the Cummins European Legal team in London. Cummins is the world’s largest independent manufacturer of diesel and gas engines for use in heavy duty on and off-road applications around the world. As a global power leader Cummins also designs and manufactures electric and hybrid powertrains, hydrogen generation and fuel cell products. Cummins sells products to OEMs, distributors, dealers and end-use customers in 190 countries and territories.
Melissa is responsible for product legal compliance across the entire product range for UK and EU markets, Environmental, Health and Safety legal compliance in Europe, Materials legal compliance globally, and supports the EMEAR Supply Chain organisation. Prior to joining Cummins in 2019, Melissa practiced in regulatory teams in international law firms in the UK and Australia. Melissa is heavily involved in assessing the impact of the EU Green Deal, and developments in all aspects of Environment, Social and Governance. She is passionate about compliance, sustainability and diversity.
