Alex Ponce de Leon is corporate litigation counsel for Google and manages a team of litigators focusing on discovery. At Google he develops and implements innovative and efficient discovery strategies for a wide variety of litigation matters. Besides managing his own discovery team and caseload, he also implements new discovery policies and procedures designed to reduce costs and mitigate legal risk across the company.
Prior to joining Google, Alex was a senior litigation counsel at the Intel Corporation where he primarily focused on discovery and general litigation matters.
Alex began his legal career as an associate at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman where he worked on large and complex litigation cases. Before practicing law, Alex was a policy advisor for the California Legislature and a management consultant for Accenture.
Alex received his BA from Brown University (International Relations and Political Science), his MSc from the London School of Economics (Regional and Urban Planning), and his JD from Northwestern University School of Law (with an emphasis on Social Policy). While at Northwestern Law he was an Editor of the Journal of Law and Social Policy. Alex was born in Caracas, Venezuela and is a native Spanish speaker.
