Prof. Dr. Jan F. Orth LL.M. (UT) is a Presiding Judge at the Regional Court of Cologne, where he presides a chamber of the criminal court division. At the University of Cologne he is a honorary professor and managing director of the research center for sports law. He is co-editor and editor-in-chief of the Journal for Sports and Law (SpuRt) and editor and co-author of numerous books on sports law. As a volunteer, he is a member of the Supreme Abitration Court of the German Football Association (DFB) and a member of the Disciplinary Commission of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). He works as an arbitrator at the DIS Sports Arbitration Court, also for doping proceedings.
