The IADC is thrilled to have Nina Willner as our Open Forum Keynote Speaker at the 2022 Annual Meeting. Ms. Willner is a former US Army Intelligence Officer and was the first woman to lead Army intelligence collection missions behind the Iron Curtain in Soviet-held East Berlin during the Cold War. Following a career in intelligence that saw her working alongside some of the US’s most sensitive intelligence organizations, Nina spent two decades living and working in Russia, Belarus, and Czech Republic in a variety of positions for the US government NGOs and charities in the fields of human rights and rule of law, and for non-profits. The common thread in all her work has been the fundamental desire to promote freedom, democracy, and universal human rights.
Additionally, Ms. Willner authored our Book Review selection Forty Autumns and will be present during the Book Review discussion. For more information on the Book Review, click here.
