The AIUM is excited to be back in-person and back in sunny San Diego for 4 full days of learning and networking. With a record number of abstract submissions, a diverse program, and unique educational offerings, AIUM 2022 is the ultrasound event to attend.

 Gerald E. Harmon, MD
President, American Medical Association

Gerald E. Harmon, MD, a family medicine specialist having practiced for more than 30 years in coastal South Carolina, became 176th president of the AMA in June 2021. Dr. Harmon is an adviser to the board of trustees for his community health system and is vice president in a multispecialty physician practice.
Abraham Verghese, MD, MACP
Physician and Bestselling Author

Abraham Verghese is Professor and Vice Chair for the Theory and Practice of Medicine at Stanford University Medical School. He is also a best-selling author of the novels Cutting for Stone and My Own Country: A Doctor’s Story. Dr. Verghese is a physician with a reputation for his focus on healing in an era where technology often overwhelms the human side of medicine.
