Cases will be presented to identify pathology in duodenal Crohn's disease and discuss treatment options. In addition it will describe complications of surgery in IBD, and focus on how a gastroenterologist may prevent morbidity and delay repeat surgery. They will focus on an evidence based approach and draw on expert opinion in interpreting the next course of action.
In the end, the attendee should feel comfortable recognizing and treating IBD in these two scenarios, and be able to deliver superior outcomes for their patients.
