Karen Flynn is the CT Quality Assurance Specialist at Massachusetts General Hospital. She has over 30 years of experience as a CT Technologist at MGH prior to transitioning to a QA position. She collaborates with Division Lead Radiologists, Operation and Technical Managers, and Medical Physicists to develop, implement and maintain clinical and research CT protocols throughout the MGH system. She mentors and provides education to new and existing CT staff. She is a member of the Contrast Emergency Management Simulation Team at MGH which provides training for the identification and treatment of contrast reactions within the imaging setting. She has been awarded multiple Partners in Excellence Team awards as well as an individual Clinical Excellence Award. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Imaging from Regis College.
