Karim S. Karim (PhD, PEng, MBA, FEIC, FCAE) is a Professor and the Associate Vice President, Commercialization and Entrepreneurship at the University of Waterloo. Professor Karim has published over 100 journal articles, 150 conference papers, and has 80 patents in X-ray imaging. He co-founded KA Imaging in 2015, which commercialized the world’s first portable large area spectral diagnostic X-ray detector for mobile radiography.
Jay Potipcoe (BA, MRT) is a designated MRT with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). Jay is experienced with general radiography, gastric fluoroscopy, orthopaedic intraoperative C-arm fluoroscopy, CT, and portable trauma radiography in ER settings including infection control. Before joining KA Imaging as Applications Specialist, he worked on the frontlines, providing X-ray exams and CT scans to patients suffering from COVID-19.
