CEO and Radiologist Envision Medical Imaging Wembley, Western Australia, Australia
Investments in Artificial intelligence for medical imaging are on the rise. In 2022, there are many AI tools available across different therapeutic areas that have been designed to improve clinical outcomes, workflow efficiency and bottom line, notwithstanding patient engagement, and experience. CT has been flagged as the front runner modality most applicable to AI. This is due to the large volume of scans interpreted, work up and processing times and need for specialist interpretation in complex cases according to a recent survey of US radiologists(1).
With many practices looking to optimize resource utilization, improve through-put and increase brand competitiveness, we’ll share a practical insight into how AI can improve reporting and clinical outcomes.
This session will demonstrate a real-world use case for implementing AI into a radiology practice. The use case will be based on patients with suspected coronary heart disease who have been referred for a Cardiac Computed Tomography Angiogram (CCTA).
We will educate others on how to implement a practice-wide AI solution. We will share how to build capacity from AI-driven, automated reporting as well as how to generate efficiencies in patient workflow. We’ll provide an overview on how to improve financial performance through optimised utilisation and competitiveness. Lastly, we’ll conclude how the augmentation of clinical decision making in medical imaging is something to be desired, not feared.
Dr Brendan Adler, Chief Executive Officer and Radiologist at Envision Medical Imaging Australia, and John Konstantopoulos will share these insights directly from their practical experience and expertise in this area.
