Martha Schram is the President & CEO of Aegis Therapies, a national provider of contract rehabilitation, home health, outpatient and wellness services, primarily in post-acute healthcare settings.
Ms. Schram has dedicated her career to the field of geriatrics in several capacities. From early collaboration with the University of Wisconsin to establish an interdisciplinary geriatric fellowship program and working with Veterans Affairs (VA) to develop a model of care for veterans at home, to leading Aegis Therapies today, Ms. Schram is committed to ensuring the provision of innovative, setting-agnostic and quality care across the industry.
From a policy perspective, Ms. Schram is a staunch advocate for patients. For over a decade, she has held leadership roles within The National Association for the Support of Long Term Care (NASL), including serving as President of the Board of Directors.
After launching Aegis Therapies, Ms. Schram has used her position to further prioritize and promote outcome and evidence-based rehabilitation and wellness services for older adults. An independent, privately held company since 2017, Aegis operates in 37 states and over seven hundred locations, including skilled nursing, assisted and independent living facilities, senior and active living communities, adult day care, outpatient clinics and home health.
A graduate of the University of Colorado in Physical Therapy, Ms. Schram is a member of the University’s Physical Therapy Scholarship Endowment Board.
