Philip Scalo is a Founder, President and Chief Executive Office of Bartley Healthcare, a post-acute healthcare and senior services company located in Jackson, New Jersey. Bartley offers a variety of senior care services including assisted living, rehabilitation, long term care, memory care, hospice services, home care services, and outpatient services. Mr. Scalo has led Bartley from its inception in 1984 to become one of the most highly awarded post-acute healthcare and senior care companies in New Jersey ( Awards include AHCA Quality Awards for each facility, NJDOH Best Practice Awards, ALFA Best of the Best of the Best Awards, 5 star ratings and various business of the year and performance awards and recognition.) In December 2015 Bartley celebrated the 30th anniversary of the opening of its first facility.
Mr. Scalo has served as a consultant for long term care and assisted living operations, financing and project development. Scalo has been a speaker on various post-acute healthcare topics at national conventions and conferences. Mr. Scalo's background is in law, and he has been a partner in law firms specializing in healthcare law, civil and commercial litigation, financing, construction law, and municipal law.
Mr.Scalo is the Vice Chai rand was formerly the Sec./Treas and the Independent Owners Representative on the Board of Governors of the American Heath Care Association (AHCA) and was formerly a Co Chair of the Independent Owners Council of the American Health Care Association. He also servies as an Executive Board Member of the Health Care Association of New Jersey (HCANJ) ). His civic and charitable activities include serving as a Chair of the Board of Directors of Rutgers University Foundatioh and a member of the Board of Trustees of Rutgers University. He is also on the Business School, Nursing School and Institute for Gerontology Advisory Boards for Felician University.
