Lisa’s passion for making cultural diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) improvements in the world started years ago. After holding a variety of management positions in the private, public and nonprofit sectors, she saw how many organizations said they embraced diversity, but failed to operationalize their good intentions. With a strong vision to create a better way to achieve tangible DEI results, she ventured out and created CultureBrokers. The company systematizes measurable improvement in big and small government, nonprofit, and business organizations. Over more than 15 years, CultureBrokers has worked with 107 organizations on 126 projects related to governance, strategy, finance, marketing, research & development, information technology, customer service, human resources, community engagement, procurement, space design, and operations. In just the last few years, the company has consulted with Care Providers of Minnesota, Jewish Family Services, Minnesota Leadership Council on Aging, and Volunteers of America. Lisa is a certified Baldrige examiner, Lean Six Sigma White Belt, Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) Qualified Administrator, and Diamond Inclusiveness Assessment (DIA) Facilitator.
