President and CEO
Hamilton Management Group
Gerald Hamilton began working in long term care as a dietary aide during high school. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.S. in Finance and the University of Utah with an M.B.A. After graduating from college, he was licensed as a nursing home administrator and worked as an administrator in California, New Mexico, and Colorado and as a regional VP of operations in New Mexico. After working nearly 30 years in nursing facilities for large national organizations, he changed fields to assisted living and became an independent owner and operator in 2005. Since that time, he has built and acquired nine small assisted living facilities; four of them with various partners, and continues to operate those communities. One campus includes independent apartments and a medical clinic. He and a partner also work with other independent owners to teach them the assisted living business and construct and operate their own communities in Arizona and Colorado. He is active at the state and national levels in provider organizations, having served 20 years on the board of the New Mexico Health Care Association and currently serves as the Chair of NCAL. When not traveling or working to build his business, Gerald enjoys doing just about anything outdoors, especially mountain biking, camping, and fishing. He is fortunate to be the father of six wonderful children and husband to Roberta - and delighted to be a grandfather to five (and counting).
