Melanie L. Paul is a principal in the Atlanta, Georgia, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. She is co-leader of the firm’s Workplace Safety and Health practice group. Her practice focuses on occupational safety and health compliance, advice and litigation. Melanie's clients benefit from her unique inside experience as a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) for more than a decade.
She zealously represents clients in workplace safety and health matters across all industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, construction, retail, hospitality, transportation and logistics, and staffing agencies. She reviews safety and health policies, assists clients with safety and health audits, advises on compliance issues and strategies, and provides safety and health compliance training. She defends clients in both federal and state OSHA inspections and resulting litigation, including through trial, in complex cases involving workplace accidents, fatalities, and general duty clause violations.
