Koko Okano is Quality Improvement and Reserch with Florida Health Care Association. Since 1998, she has trended and analyzed survey and quality improvement outcomes for skilled nursing centers in Florida. Her responsibility includes issues in survey readiness and improvement, Quality Award program, and performance excellence related programs. As a state affiliate staff, Koko has also been involved in the FHCA Quality Cabinet that houses some of the association's quality related concils such as Perfomance Excellence Councill.
Koko has been the lead staff to support member centers to participate in AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award by providing workshops and Quality Award Bootcamp for Silver and Gold applicants. She serves as a master examiner of Quality Award Program and served six years as a member of AHCA/NCAL Board of Overseers. Koko also serves on the Board of Examiners of the National Baldrige Program.
