Susan Boettger is a seasoned senior living professional who has developed a diverse background and built her career around her passion for the LTC industry and the promotion of performance excellence and quality care. With a career of over 30 years, she a Registered Nurse, an experienced Assisted Living Administrator and holds an MBA in Healthcare Management. She has worked at Charles E. Smith Life Communities (CESLC) for over 5 years and is the Senior Director, Clinical Excellence & Pandemic Response. She holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, as well as, certifications in risk management, staff development, dementia education, infection prevention and QAPI. She previously co-facilitated a large-scale evacuation exercise of a high-rise senior living residence with NIST and emergency responders from both the county and state level. Susan is an active member of the AHCA Quality Improvement Committee and has served for two years as a Senior Examiner for the AHCA Quality Award Program. As part of her current role with CESLC, she oversees QAPI, associate education and training, risk management, infection prevention and control, survey readiness, medical records, and overall pandemic response, among other duties. She has a genuine passion for the senior living and services industry.
