Donna Spangler RN, MPH, CIC is an experienced Director of Nursing in Skilled Nursing facilities with 26 years in the role. She is a board-certified infection preventionist serving as the Director of Infection Prevention for Southern Healthcare Management LLC and oversees the development and training of the Infection Prevention role within 41 skilled nursing centers. She has been a licensed nurse since 1985 and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant while pursuing her nursing education.
On a personal level, she became interested in infection prevention during high school as both of her siblings were battling Juvenile onset diabetes with numerous complications and hospitalizations that led to multiple healthcare associated infections (HAIs).
