AHCA/NCAL has partnered with Equus Workforce Solutions to offer long term care apprenticeship programs. The goal is to get more people engaged in the long term care profession as it battles a workforce crisis. The AHCA/NCAL and Equus collaboration will help to support the development and expansion of Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAPs) that can potentially impact our long term care provider members and those they serve in the future. This session will be led by Michelle Day, National Workforce Solutions Director at Equus. Learn how you can engage in this apprenticeship partnership as an assisted living provider, and get your pressing questions answered.
NOTE: This is a separate ticketed event and requires an additional registration fee apart from the standard Convention registration package.
Learning Objectives:
Describe the benefits in building a pipeline of skilled workers, gaining workers with customized skills, and enhancing employee retention and employer reputation, as derived from experiences from Registered Apprenticeship Programs.
Identify steps to implement an apprenticeship program.
Explain the ROI of apprenticeship programs and how they benefit both the employer and worker alike.
