When a facility receives a deficiency citation or a tag on a Form 2567, the facility has a choice to comply and correct or challenge the deficiency citation. The Informal Dispute Resolution (IDR) process is designed and intended to give facilities the platform and opportunity to refute regulatory survey deficiency findings. This session will explore the elements of the IDR process, regulatory requirements, and explore the rights and responsibilities of facilities in the IDR process. This session will also discuss how deficiencies impact Five-Star Quality Ratings.
